How to do the exercise:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

This exercise is designed to help us look at how we make purchasing decisions and whether they are always conscious. Below you will find questions that you can answer in your mind or note down your reflections. There are no right or wrong answers here – simply an opportunity to better understand your own habits. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  3. Do you do your grocery shopping without a list and buy whatever comes to hand?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Do you buy groceries without checking the best-before date?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Do you go shopping just because you are bored or want to make yourself feel better?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Do you buy products just because they were recommended by a colleague?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Even though you don’t have money in your bank account, do you find it hard to say no to purchases and go into credit card debt?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  8. Do you happen to buy a product or service under the charm of a salesperson?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  9. Do you buy a product online just because you got an email from a retailer telling you about a “special promotion”, “discount code” or “sale”?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  10. When you buy a product or service, do you think it will make you look better in front of your family or friends?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  11. When you see a repeated advertisement on the internet, do you start to think that this product is made especially for you and make a purchase?<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  12. Do you buy products just because they are advertised by influencers on social media?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n

    If the answer to any of the above questions was yes<\/strong>, it could be a signal that you are not always in full control of your purchasing decisions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This is a great time<\/strong> to reflect on your shopping habits and, if you feel the need to do so, start making changes to help you make more informed and beneficial decisions for your finances.
